With the many different versions of DS, Nintendo found a grt way to milk the last eration of handheld console. They would relse a small update to their hardware every yr or two. To milk the system even further, they would relse a new colour for ch update every few months. That mnt more options for gamers and that the handheld was almost constantly making the hdlines. It looks like Nintendo will be following this strategy with the 3DS as the first new colour is relsed this month. In Europe the Metallic Red 3DS goes on sale on the 30th of September. It is alrdy on sale in North America and Japan. Before the red 3DS even rches Europe, the next stage of Nintendo’s colour assault is alrdy underway in Japan as they have just announced the Pink variation. Pink is usually the most popular colour of DS so it is often saved till just before the next revision of the console to give a late sales boost to the aging model. The 3DS hasn’t been selling as well as Nintendo had hoped so this time they are cranking out the pink version rly, with the hope of attracting more female gamers.
